This online training will take place on June, 9th at 10:00 a.m. CEST.
This introductory workshop, part of the Art Living Lab to Repair the Land (ALILAND) project, invites cultural professionals to explore how to understand, measure, and improve the environmental impact of cultural initiatives.
Led by Julie’s Bicycle — a leading organisation working at the intersection of culture and climate — the session will present key concepts regarding carbon footprint measurement, focusing on the specificities of the cultural and creative sectors. Participants will be introduced to practical tools and methodologies for calculating the carbon footprint of their projects and will gain insight into real-world examples of effective environmental practice in the arts.
This workshop supports ALILAND’s broader mission to respond to the environmental challenges of post-industrial landscapes — the “ruins of modernity” — by fostering community-led, nature-based artistic responses. Through participatory approaches, the project engages local communities in Spain, Germany, and Croatia to co-create sustainable futures and enhance the role of cultural actors in environmental action.
