Concomitentes (Spain) is a non-profit association founded in June 2018 to promote the creation of artworks that engage with their social context. Concomitentes invites civil society groups to become the citizen-commissioners or “comitentes” of an artwork, and then accompanies them through the ensuing process of negotiation. Founded in 2018, the association develops citizen participation projects is the Spanish state. Since it began its journey, in 2018, Concomitentes has worked on its public visibility, participating in public programs about participatory governance, other ways of making ‘society’ and the role of culture and art.

Kunstverein Rügen e.V. (Germany) is a non-profit association located on the Baltic Sea Island of Rügen, organizing exhibitions and public art projects since 2009. Between 2014 and 2025, it has operated Galerie Circus Eins, hosting rotating exhibitions with renowned national artists and large-scale public art projects. The association is supported by partners such as the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Kunstfonds Foundation, EWE Foundation, and the Volunteer Foundation M-V, and it maintains close collaboration with organizations like GNA and the Association for Citizen-Commissioned Art and Mediation.

Udruga za interdisciplinarna i interkulturalna istraživanja / Association for Interdisciplinary and Intercultural Research (Croatia), founded in 2002 in Croatia, collaborates with non-governmental organizations, cultural centers, schools, and various public institutions. Supported by the Zagreb City Council and the Ministry of Culture, AIIR focuses on creating and maintaining platforms for interdisciplinary and intercultural research. Its work addresses a broad range of societal issues, including spatial organization, intercultural dialogue, gender equality, peace, sustainable living, and other pressing global challenges.

RIA FOUNDATION (Spain) is an independent non-profit agency, promoted by architect David Chipperfield, a think tank that contributes to the analysis, reflection, and strategic territorial planning. City of Energy - CIUDEN (Spain) is a public sector entity focused on R&D in energy and the environment, contributing to the economic and social development of ‘Just Transition’ regions. De Nieuwe Opdrachtgevers / Les Nouveaux Commanditaires (Belgium) is a non-profit organization that fosters new relationships between art, artists, and the public. It empowers citizens to act as commissioners of artworks, placing them on equal footing with artists in both creation and evaluation. Supported initially in 2000 by the King Baudouin Foundation, DNO completed 26 projects and has since produced 44 more with diverse public and private funding. The resulting artworks belong to the collective, valued not by market standards but by their use and symbolic meaning within the community.

La Société des Nouveaux Commanditaires en Arts & Sciences (France) was established in in 2020 to provide a platform for mediators working under the New Patrons protocol. It brings together national associations that have been part of the network for over 30 years, aiming to coordinate their efforts across France and contribute to its development at the European level. The SNC supports the promotion of the methodology by sharing expertise, offering training for mediator-producers and fostering collaboration among them. It also works to initiate and support research programs in partnership with academic and scientific institutions.

Interuniversity Centre for Research on Atlantic Landscapes and Cultures (CISPAC) - University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), CISPAC´s mission is to carry out research on landscapes from a transdisciplinary perspective, in a quest to provide epistemic answers to contemporary challenges. Its aim is to produce innovative ways of understanding and working with landscape, heritage and production, based on identity, participation and sustainability.

Monte Vecinal de Couso in Galicia (Spain) explores innovative forest management focused on environmental sustainability and native species. Moving beyond traditional logging, they introduce higher-value trees like chestnut and cherry, enhancing both the landscape and local economy. MVC also promotes education through school programs and leads in organic production of berries, nuts, and mushrooms. Their efforts have been recognized by the UN ICCA as a model of good management.
