Working group Crnica - 2nd Meeting

The second meeting took place in Azimut Club, popular gathering place for alternative culture in Šibenik, on May 17th, 2025. Our meeting was dedicated to the discussion how to address the wider community of Crnica and Šibenik, respectively, with the main preoccupation of the group: what is to be done with the slag hills whose level of contamination of the area is unknown.

We were considering work with the grammar school children that would be informing the children about the factory that used to be located in Crnica as well as incite the thinking about the future of the place.

Further, we were considering the sport activities that would engage people who are already using he space for running.

What was also discussed was presentation of the history of urban planning in Crnica area, including the recent workshops conducted by the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb.

There were also suggestions to make a kind of a questionnaire that would be distributed via social network where the people of Šibenik would express their opinions and visions about the area. Connected to that, it would be useful to create a profile on the social network dedicated to the area. Other suggestions included the public walks that would be guided by ex-workers of TEF (Elektroferoalloy Factory), as well as the activities in Roberta's park, near the school.

Radna grupa Crnica - 2. sastanak

Drugi sastanak održan je u Azimut Clubu, popularnom okupljalištu za alternativnu kulturu u Šibeniku, 17. svibnja 2025. Naš sastanak bio je posvećen raspravi o tome kako se obratiti široj zajednici Crnice i Šibenika, s glavnim pitanjem grupe: što učiniti sa brdima troske, za koju je razina zagađenja područja nepoznata.

Razmatrali smo rad s učenicima osnovne škole kako bismo informirali djecu o tvornici koja se nekada nalazila u Crnici, kao i potaknuli razmišljanje o budućnosti tog mjesta. Nadalje, razmatrali smo sportske aktivnosti koje bi angažirale ljude koji već koriste prostor za trčanje.

Također je raspravljano o predstavljanju povijesti urbanističkog planiranja u području Crnice, uključujući nedavne radionice koje je održao Arhitektonski fakultet u Zagrebu. Bilo je i prijedloga za izradu ankete koja bi se distribuirala putem društvenih mreža kako bi Šibenčani/ke bi izrazili svoja mišljenja i vizije o tom području. U vezi s tim, bilo bi korisno kreirati profil na društvenoj mreži posvećen tom području. Ostali prijedlozi uključivali su javne šetnje koje bi vodili bivši radnici TEF-a (Tvornice elektroferolegura), kao i aktivnosti u Robertinom parku, u blizini škole.
