The Barruelo de Santullán group of comitentes is made up of 2 men and 10 women. Many of them are daughters and granddaughters of miners. Inhabitants of the town, or descendants of the place who live in the vicinity, all of them with a strong emotional link with the territory. They define themselves as daughters of the coal and the mountain, and want to find new ways of being in the territory with joy and hope for a future that does not lead them to abandon this place. The struggle that unites them has to do with the recovery of the common space of their memory.
