The working group of Crnica consists of the citizens of Šibenik of various generations who either live or work in the area, sometimes even both. The group aims to engage into participatory creation of their own environment young professionals, experienced journalists, or retirees who once worked in the area and now carry the memory of the factories which used to be there throughout the 20th century. However, the industry left its contaminative marks, in the form of piles of cinder. Large portion of cinder was transferred to the neighbouring county, in the village that lives off agriculture. Therefore, the main preoccupation of the working group is to find out the level of contamination in the area, but also to point to the injustice that was done to their neighbours. From there, to imagine sustainable future for its city and the whole region.
