Flemish Land Society

Working on a land development project in Boom, the Flemish Land Society stumbled upon the industrial past and its dramatic consequences for the city’s nature and landscape. Together with the municipality, who feels responsible for the historical past and future developments of Boom, and residents of the city, the consortium of patrons wants to make peace with the historical story of Boom by highlighting and representing the future of the clay landscape as a new ecological and natural site. They want to entrust an artist with their mission.
