Susanne Burmester, M.A., has been working as a curator, cultural manager, and author on the Baltic Sea Island of Rügen since 1995. Since 2014, she has been developing the exhibition program for the non-commercial art space of “Kunstverein Rügen e.V.” and has organized numerous art projects in the region in public space and with a focus on new audiences. Since 2017, she has been working as a mediator in the New Patrons model and is involved in the strategic development of the New Patrons model in Germany as a chairwoman of the “Gesellschaft für Kunst und Mediation im Bürgerauftrag e.V.” (Association for Citizen-Commissioned Art and Mediation).
